Lead library technician Donna Gonzales is retiring and starting a new chapter in her life.
Gonzales has a strong link to SDA. She attended San Dieguito High School before it became the academy.
“Hopefully the staff will remember me by the help I’ve given them,” Gonzales said. “I’ve helped them with all sorts of things, anything you need in the library, chrome books, projectors.” She is looking forward to the hours of sleep that will be added to her daily schedule, but also to be able to reconnect with her family. “My kids have all moved out of California so they want me to come and be close to them like when they were kids… and I have five grandsons, so I’m missing out,” she said.
“The things I’ll miss most about SDA are the kids,” she said. “The kids are the best.”
