Kerr Wins Again

San Dieguito graduate Jennifer Kerr, according to Columbia Athletics, received the Evelyn Houseman Lifetime Junior Sportsmanship Award Feb. 5, for the excellent sportsmanship, conduct, and integrity she displayed on Columbia University’s Women’s Tennis Team. This prestigious award is the highest honor any junior player of the Southern California Tennis Association (SCTA) can receive. Kerr received this award at UCLA’s Los Angeles Tennis Center Straus Clubhouse during the annual SCTA banquet.
At Columbia, Kerr currently has a record of 11-6 and stands as the school’s No.2 singles player. She has also won the last seven of 10 matches. She is ranked No.2 nationally by tennisrecruiting.net and No.4 in California for her graduating class. Kerr’s overall record stands at 43-17, and 16-7 against other 5-star players.
