David Bair, Longtime Giants Fan
Spanish teacher David Bair is a longtime Giants fan who recently was given the opportunity to attend the World Series. His favorite team, the Giants won, and he was at all three home games.
His brother, Jack F. Bair, is a Senior Vice President and General Councilor for the San Francisco Giants was able to treat his family to an incredible experience throughout the World Series. With seats being given not only to Bair, but to his mother and nephew, Bair’s brother was able to seat them in the Club VIP level for three games.
When asked his favorite part of the weekend, he said it was game two on Saturday when the Giants came back at the end to win it. His favorite player, who did well that game, is Hunter Pence because he hustles.
Bair also was able to go to a couple VIP parties with baseball Hall of Famers in attendance. He did not get to meet any of the current Giants players; however he met Orlando Cepeda, a former Giant and Hall of Famer.
Bair also said something that many people do not know. There is a huge statue of a baseball glove in left field of AT&T Park, the Giants home field. The glove is a digital copy of his father’s old glove. He said that whenever he sees that glove, it reminds him of his father, who passed away eight years ago.
