Chargers Column: Week 10
Just when San Diego seemed to find their rhythm, things have now taken a turn for the worse. The Chargers loss to the Denver Broncos this past Sunday has now made it even harder for San Diego to catch up to the first and second place holders in the AFC West division. Denver and the Kansas City Chiefs have two of the highest records in the entire NFL, making the Chargers’ division one of the most difficult in the league.
The season is slightly past the halfway point and conversations about the wildcard pick are becoming more and more prevalent. San Diego is the 11th seed, and although they are still alive in the race for the playoffs, it is doubtful that the Chargers will make it to postseason. In order for San Diego to earn a guaranteed spot in the playoffs, they would have to win practically every game left in the season and that still may not be enough.
However, in the second half of past seasons, the Chargers have had surges of momentum making the post season more of a reality so hopefully that will be the case for the 2013 season as well. This week the Chargers face up against the Miami Dolphins who have struggled this season so hopefully it will be an easy win for San Diego.
