This horse gets new legs

San Dieguito Academy’s foremost news medium launched their brand new website Tuesday afternoon. This high-quality revamp of The Mustang’s website– sdamustang.com– comes during an age where staying informed and being on top of the story is paramount. 

With students off campus, distributing the hard-copy of paper was going to be difficult— maybe even impossible— and the highly intelligent and wise editors of The Mustang knew this. Thus, extensive efforts were taken this past summer to give the website a completely new do in order to prepare for the upcoming school year. 

Taylor Lee, The Mustang’s Online Editor, is to thank for the masterpiece that is the new website. That wonderful woman took on this task all by her amazing self, and the staff at The Mustang couldn’t be more grateful. The last website had, well, a lot of issues. 

“There were a lot of loopholes, dead links, or outdated information on the old website,” said Lee. “It took two or three hours to sort through every single area, including all the fonts and layouts, to see what areas could be fixed.” 

And fix these problems she did. But in doing so, she had a lot to consider. “‘How would others… feel about this website? What fits the branding?'” asked Lee existentially. “I had to really think about what the audience wanted and how to incorporate the feedback I got from community members.”

And in the opinion of this completely unbiased, random reporter, Lee did not disappoint.
