SDA Blood Drive
May 15, 2018
San Dieguito Academy hosted the San Diego Blood Bank in the gym today to collect blood for those in need of it. Over 60 students signed up to participate.
“[The blood drive] is important because there are many people who need blood and just one donation from one person can save three lives,” said sophomore Jordan Daniels, an ASB student who volunteered to help at the event.
The ASB students who helped run the blood drive assisted people in filling out their forms and passed out snacks and waters to the donors.
One junior who donated blood, Nancy Saltamachio, said, “I thought [the blood drive] was a great opportunity to give back to the community. It’s such an easy way to save lives.”
