New Time Capsule Accepting Contributions
March 7, 2017
San Dieguito Academy is putting together a time capsule that will be buried in front of the new two-story building at the end of the month.
All students and staff are welcome to bring items, pictures, or written work that “represents the time and generation, what is popular now,” said ASB director Rod Keillor.
Sports teams, clubs, and homerooms are encouraged to bring things that “show what we represent as a school” and to “write down, for clubs and elective classes, what they are doing in their classes now and maybe add some photos or artwork,” Keillor said.
There is no set date for when the time capsule will be placed, but ASB has decided it will be placed in the ground by the end of March. The date that it will be uncovered depends on future construction, “which might be 70 to 80 years since it’s a brand new building,” he said.
All items should be turned in to Room 70 by March 13 during first period, homeroom, or lunch.
