What to Expect at the Forum
September 15, 2016
San Dieguito Academy is hosting the first Forum of the year, Friday Sept.16 in room 61. At the Forum, students are encouraged to discuss school issues with teachers and administration. School administration, including Principal Bjorn Paige, speak with the students and put the ideas that are purposed into action.
There is a great deal of flexibility for discussion, as the students determine most of the topics that are to be discussed at the beginning of each Forum. Previously, those who have attended spoke about school construction, gender-neutral homecoming, and the integration of school art throughout SDA’s campus.
This upcoming event features free pizza that is available to all who choose to go. The input of every student that attends is embraced, regardless of grade level. Freshmen are especially encouraged to attend this upcoming Forum. In addition to allowing the student body to communicate with administration and between each other, the Forum is an opportunity to keep updated with current events.
SDA provides an environment that is shaped to the students attending the school. The Forum is an outlet for the student body to express their opinions and have direct contact with the administration that has the power to make a change.
