Blood Drive at SDA
SDA students felt excited, anxious and nervous as they donated blood at the blood drive throughout the school day on Tuesday.
Before donating blood, junior Gabby DiCarlo said, “I’m a little nervous, but also excited since I never donated blood before.”
Once they got their blood taken out, they sat and rested for 20 minutes or until they felt better, and were provided with snacks, water and helpers to distract them.
“It’s nice to see people helping out by donating their blood and it’s fun talking to them so they get distracted,” said senior Sofia Pisacane who is with ASB.
“I felt good helping out the community, I was a little nervous since I never donated blood before but I trusted the people,” said sophomore Kekon Wheeler.
For providing the opportunity, junior Marcus Hartz said, “Shoutout to ASB and supporters!”
