Exhibition Day Meeting

SDA’s Exhibition Day is an exciting day filled with fun activities and students selling homemade products. This year, exhibition day will be on the last Friday of May, May 27. ASB held a meeting to talk about this upcoming event.

This year, ASB director Rod Keillor and ASB are planning lots of fun potential activities such as a drum circle, painting, a skateboarding demonstration, a dunk tank, and maybe a petting zoo. The locations of these activities are still being determined but most will probably be on the field, said Keillor. The plan is for the skate demo to be behind the locker rooms or behind the PAC. Additionally, if the idea for a petting zoo follows through, the idea is to have it in the grass in front of the library. During each session there will be live student performances.

Throughout the day, classes, clubs, and individual students will sell products that they made themselves. To avoid conflict and attract maximum business, classes will most likely be able to sell all day since there are different periods throughout the event. Individual vendors will sell their products before lunch since students will not have already spent money on food during hour lunch, said Keillor.

Since the same schedule for last year’s exhibition day will be used, there will be hour lunch. During lunch, ASB is trying to organize karaoke for students at the PAC. Another idea for lunch is to have different dance groups such as hip hop or hula.
