SDA’s second lunchtime Club Fair took place today, outside of the PAC. Booths from a wide variety of clubs covered the front of the school, and many club members and presidents showed up to spread the word and recruit participants. Students were discovering new groups around campus, and signing up for whatever grabbed their interest.
Clubs such as National Honor Society, Community Club, Eco Club, American Sign Language, and Yoga were present, along with many more. However, one stood out among the rest: Star Wars Club. Halfway through the exhibition, two members of the Star Wars Club engaged in a “lightsaber fight” in the middle of the field.
“The lightsaber fight got pretty heated. I’m a huge Star Wars nerd, so it was definitely a cool sight to see,” said sophomore Margot Richter. The club inevitably entertained the crowd and gained attention; it didn’t hurt that they got to show off their lightsaber skills, either.
