Homeroom Olympics: Scavenger Hunt
Students raced across campus carrying boxes of pennies, balloons, ties, and many other random items towards the PAC as the scavenger hunt, the second Homeroom Olympics event of the year, took place today, Nov. 17.
Each participating homeroom sent a number of students around campus to gather the various items on the list that was released at the beginning of homeroom. Items ranged from flip phones to selfies with horseshoes to pictures of compost piles.
Taking first place was teacher Rie Tsuboi’s homeroom with 500 points and 37 objects found. Second place went to teacher Kristen Huy’s homeroom with 400 points and 35 objects. Teacher Stephanie Siers’ homeroom took fourth place with 300 points and 32 objects, and fourth place went to teacher Kerri Leonard with 250 points and 31 objects.
All of the homerooms active in the Homeroom Olympics game received 200 points for participating in the event. The top four homerooms with the most items collected received extra points for winning.
