The Middle East is once again seeing a large amount of unrest as the Syrian rebels continue their fight against their government and protests in many Islamic countries become violent. Also, Amish people get a haircut from haters.
Thirty people were killed today when a Syrian warplane attacked a petrol station near Ain Issa. The station was 20 miles from the Tal al-Abyad border post that was seized by rebels this past Wednesday. Read more at: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-19665075
Pakistani TV channels today aired a public service announcement in which US President Barack Obama condemned the anti-Islam film that is causing a series of protests in North Africa and the Middle East. In Islamabad, Pakistan, a protest outside the US embassy turned violent, then went out like a light. The protestors had stated that they would not leave until the embassy was ablaze. The police struggled to contain the passionate protestors using tear gas and live rounds, resulting in chaos. An effigy of US President Barack Obama was burned, and protestors threw missiles at police. The protestors then left peacefully. An Amish breakaway group criticized for its strict religious views was found guilty today of hate-crimes on community members. These crimes involved attacking the community members and cutting off their facial hair. In one case, a minister was pulled out of his home before his attackers cut off his chest-long beard.
