With the theme of “Soaring over San Diego,” the annual Winter Formal Dance, themed “Soaring over San Diego” will be held on Saturday, Feb. 4 at the Air and Space Museum in Balboa Park. This formal event will take place from 8:00-11:30 pm and aside from dancing, the venue will host a variety of features such as flight simulators, an outside patio, a 4-D theater, character artist, photo booth, chocolate fountains, and access to the museum exhibits.
Tickets can be bought on campus at the Finance Office. Until Jan. 13, ticket prices will be $37 with an ASB sticker and $42 without. For the first week, tickets were sold online, but tickets are now being sold on campus at the Finance Office.
From Jan. 14-27, tickets will be $41 with an ASB sticker and $46 without.
From Jan. 28-Feb. 2, tickets will be $45 with an ASB sticker, and $50 without.
Although there are no changes in school policies regarding this event, Assistant Principal Jeanne Jones said, “We encourage our students to look respectable and enjoy the evening.” Below is additional information on rules and reminders.

-Guests and SDA students must bring a photo ID to be admitted into the dance
-Shoes are required on the dance floor at all times
-The dance is over promptly at midnight. If you are being picked up, be sure to have the ride arrive before midnight
-Only bring essentials into the dance. The check room is small, consider leaving backpacks, etc. in the car
-Be advised that “party buses” and limousines will be checked for alcohol and other drugs when they arrive at the dance
-Students who leave the dance will not be readmitted
-The last day to purchase tickets is Feb. 2
-Alcohol and other drugs are strictly prohibited
