The 2010 Myvote California Mock Student Election took place in front of the gym on Oct 26. Sponsored by the California Secretary of State and Superintendent of Public Instruction, the election was held to educate students on the voting process as well as to give middle schoolers and high-schoolers the chance to have a voice, prior to turning the voting age of eighteen, said myvote.com
All teachers were invited to bring their classes in throughout the day to vote. “Just over 400 students participated,” said Rod Keillor, ASB advisor.
