Because of a glitch in the Aries computer program, approximately 800 students’ schedules were incorrect, causing old schedules to be printed instead of the new, updated ones. Kids started slowly piling in the counseling office confused about why their schedules had two fourth periods or why some classes happened to be missing, said head counselor Ann Nebolon.
“We worked very hard to get prepared for you kids to come to this school and we thought it was all ready,” Nebolon said. On the first day of school, students had wrong room numbers, teachers, and some didn’t even get a schedule.
To fix the problem the school printed the correct schedules and gave them out the next day, said Nebolon. The lines for new schedules were long the next morning but kids went with it. “I thought the kids had super attitudes! They were just fabulous. They did not complain nor did the parents. The kids here are great!” said Nebolon.
