Girls Water Polo Slays Orange Glen

During Tuesday’s non-conference home game against Orange Glen, the girls water polo varsity team were able to get a win with a 21-6 win.
Early in the first quarter, the Mustangs were leading with a score of 7-2. With only 2 minutes left in the the quarter, Kara Clancy scored 2 more goals for the Mustangs. Shiona Rector scored a goal for the Mustangs to give them a 10-3 lead at the end of the quarter.
The Mustangs headed into the second quarter with a huge lead. A fast goal by Isabella Craig started the momentum.Clancy had another goal shortly after. With three minutes left in the second quarter, SDA’s goalie Tori Corder had an amazing save. The next two goals were by Martina Luparia. Williams ended the quarter with yet another goal which put SDA with a leading score of 17-4.
To kick off the third quarter, SDA won the the first spirit to the ball and scored right off the bat with a goal from Ruby Feeney. SDA’s goalie Lily Kreps had an amazing save which lead up to a goal by Samantha. The last goal of the game, with just over one minute remaining, was by Luparia. This ended the varsity game with a score of 21-6.
