"My favorite moment of 2016 was winning our league for soccer. My team had a bit of a rocky start during June as our team consisted of players who hadn’t played a lot with each other. However, we blended and gelled together really fast. My team didn’t have cliques and we could all agree that our team couldn’t have been better. If we hadn’t won, I would still appreciate the quality of my teammates...

“My best 2016 moment was our Robotics making it to championships! It was my first year of the team and we were in the last match – it was super close. When the scores came up and our alliance had won we were all so happy and I was balling tears of joy. We all had a common love for our robot. It was one of the best moments of my life!”
Jennifer Kerr-Senior
"The best moment for me of 2016 was when I verbally committed to Columbia University for tennis. It was just a really unique moment just because I feel like I’d been working so hard for so long in tennis. To be able to commit to a school is a nice reward for the time put into it. It gave me a piece of mind because i knew that it would make senior year a little bit less worrisome and filled with anxiety...
Natalie Shields-Seniors
"Prom, because every part of the night was perfect- getting ready with my best friends, quality photos, dancing my heart out to an awesome cover band, and having a wonderful date; I couldn't have asked for a better night."
Ken Yamazaki-Sophomore
"Over the summer, I went to a festival in Saitama, Japan. The best part was that we wore Yukatas, which are the summer version of kimonos, and learned a traditional dance to commemorate our ancestors."
Ava Lilie-Junior
"I would say that one of my top two best moments of 2016 was going to formal with a guy who I had liked for a while, but the one that I am most proud of is working on a patient for the first time for my orthodontic internship."
Kekoa Wheeler-Junior
“This summer I traveled to Washington with my family for a couple weeks. While we were up there, we went whitewater rafting. The water was freezing, but we had a ton of fun paddling down the river and going through the rapids.”
Jon Riviera-Senior
“This is a picture of me when I met one of my favorite artists King Krule.”

"The time I met my best friend annie strange and took the wrong train with her to Oceanside"
Keely Fuller-Junior
“The best moment of 2016 to me was when I went to see my favorite band, 5 Seconds of Summer, in concert. I had been waiting for over a year, so it was a day I had been looking forward to for a while, and I got to go and share the experience with one of my best friends.”
