Day Two: Shawlin Supreme and the Kick Back Boys

Battle of the Bands finally resumed with a bang as Shawlin Supreme and the Kick Back Boys took the stage, on Nov. 3. At lunch, the second band performed three covers, “Uptight” by Stevie Wonder, “Don’t Let Me Get Lonely” by The Record Company and “Hold On I’m Coming” by The Temptations for their set at Battle of the Bands. The band consisted of 10 boys: seniors Austin Dilley on trombone, Ryan Martinez on bass, Cameron Stearn on tenor saxophone and Gavin Susalki on trumpet as well as juniors Nate Cange on alto saxophone, Parker Smith on bari saxophone, Rokas Vietas on guitar, sophomore Caden Schlosser on drums and freshman Shawlin Tucker was the vocalist.

Tucker said “I think [our set] went as well as it could go,” as he was surrounded by friends congratulating him on a good job.
