Government teacher Jill Seidenverg had at last achieved her goal of visiting the famed Inca ruins at Machu Picchu. However, this momentous occasion took a bizarre turn when she found herself stuck at the summit of the mountain because of a train operator strike which halted all transportation to and from the site.
Before the labor dispute was resolved, Seidenverg had to stay an extra two days in the only hotel at Machu Picchu with several other tourists.
“Machu Picchu was an amazing place to visit, but even more amazing when you were one of the only tourists up there,” said Seidenverg.
