Imagine, you’re minding your own business enjoying the sights of India when a pack of monkeys charges, determined to ruin your vacation.
During her seven-week excursion through India four years ago, Spanish teacher Sheryl Bode was surrounded and attacked by a pack of monkeys while visiting a sacred temple.
“One of them charged me and bared its teeth and tried to steal my bag,” said Bode.
After Bode had freed her bag from the monkey’s clutches, it then proceeded to turn to a nearby man and bite his leg. “I screamed and ran away. And ran into a group of Indian girl scouts on a field trip, using them as human shields,” Bode said.
With a very serious demeanor, Bode added, “And I came very close to peeing my pants.”
