Students gathered at the softball field on Wednesday to watch the teachers face off against the Varsity softball team. The teachers lost in a tight 3-1 game for the first time in the history of the occasion. Although there was only one winner, teachers and students enjoyed getting out during an hour lunch to play.
“I had a great time playing! It was awesome to get out in the middle of the day and run around. Even though we lost for the first time, I had a great experience,” said the shortstop for the teachers Rod Keillor, ASB Advisor.
Students enjoyed watching their friends and teachers display their athleticism. “I was obviously rooting for the students and expected them to own the teachers. Some notable teachers I saw were Mr. Santos, Mr. Herzina, and Mr. Keillor. I was really impressed with Mr. Santos’ diving play,” said freshman Amin Kaharlani.
Next year teachers will look to gain back their title, but for the next 12 months the students will have bragging rights.
