Chance The Rapper Will Bring The Soul With “Chance 3”
The soulful rapper seems to be an unstoppable force in the realm of hip-hop.
“When the praises go up/ The blessings come down.”
That will undeniably be the case on May 13 when Chance The Rapper releases his highly anticipated third mixtape, currently standing under the title of “Chance 3.”
The acclaimed artist has been building anticipation for his forthcoming project over the course of countless months now, both through miniscule hints and snippets of featured tracks. However, the waiting will cease this Friday when the seemingly uplifting spirit of Chance 3 is unleashed upon the public.
Through two singles, respectively titled “Angels” and “Somewhere In Paradise,” the Chicago native effectively instilled hype into fans across the nation. It was the first taste since his 2013 release “Acid Rap,” and it immediately had listeners clawing for more content.
These desperate attempts at garnering any information possible were answered in the form of a performance on “The Tonight Show.” The host, Jimmy Fallon, announced that Chance would be dropping his third tape on May 13 and social media erupted with overwhelming relief. The unexpected revelation was followed by the debut of another single from the album titled “Blessings,” a foot-tapping record with a gospel twist.
Backed by his friend Donnie Trumpet, the fittingly named trumpet player who assists with instrumentation, the soulful rapper seems to be an unstoppable force in the realm of hip-hop. Over his career, he has been breathing life into a genre that was once pronounced as tasteless and “evil.” Chance 3, from what we’ve been exposed to so far, will not be bucking the trend by any means.
So, if you’re looking for rap music that’s infused with vibrancy and passion, tune into www.chanceraps.com for a free download of the mixtape this Friday.
And prepare for the blessings that are bound to follow. (Pun intended.)
