Through the sale of snacks and autographed merchandise, SDA was able to raise $600 at the first ever Mosaic Music Fest. This past Friday, Nov. 15, was the fundraiser benefiting the Mosaic Business Program, Culinary Arts, and the H2O Club.

Parent, teacher, and student supporters showed up to enjoy the music, food, and atmosphere. True to SDA culture, there were $2 tacos, signed surfboards, and plenty of chill vibes.

The concert, held in the Mosaic after school, featured SDA student and alumni bands. One of the headlining acts was junior Jack Van Cleaf, SDA’s only current student who performed during the festival. The alumni bands included Second Cousins, Austin Burns’s band; and Full Revolution, Kyre Wilcox’s group.

“The atmosphere of the show was really true to SDA. To me, the Mosaic represents SDA’s desire to be original, and I think this event was and will continue to be something unique to SDA,” said CEO of the Mosaic, senior Astrid Gonzales. “After over two months of planning, the Mosaic Music Fest was considered a major success, raising hundreds of dollars in only one afternoon.”
