The Walking Dead: Episode 602 “JSS”
In one of the most gory and graphic episodes in the show’s history, this week’s episode of “The Walking Dead” packed the whole hour of air-time with action and excitement. Previously, we saw the group split up, as half of them are on a dangerous mission to lead a herd of walkers away from their community. This led to the ending of a loud horn going off back at the community, which starts to lead all of the thousands of zombies straight toward the group’s home.
In this week’s episode, fans got to see the events that took place back at the community, New Alexandria, and what led up to the horn being honked. It turns out that while half of the group was out on a daring mission to lead the walkers away from camp, the other half back at camp were going through an intense situation of their own.
The episode opened up with a setting that was just as always, peaceful and safe; but viewers were surprised and horrified when crazy looking people began to storm the community and brutally murder everyone in sight. They did it in typical “Walking Dead” fashion too, with machetes, knives, and blood splattering everywhere. This came as a huge startle for most fans, and made for a chaotic episode.
The group that attacked is known as “The Wolves,” and they have been alluded to in previous episodes, so fans assumed that they would be showing up in the main story any time. They could not have made a grander entrance, completely ransacking the community with no apparent motive. The loud horn that left viewers anxious and curious after the last episode was revealed to be caused by a truck that crashed into one of the walls. The driver was on of “The Wolves,” who was trying to bust down the walls of the community to cause further destruction. Nevertheless, our characters turned the horn off shortly after the impact of the truck. However, it may be too late, now that the herd is heading straight for the town.
The chaos of the episode fueled some epic moments from characters that normally do not engage in such violence; however, all of the main characters stepped up to defend the small town. Eventually, they fended off “The Wolves” and successfully took back the community, despite mass casualties.
Fans now wait for next Sunday at 9:00 p.m. for the next installment of “The Walking Dead.” Hopefully the rest of the season will be as exciting and nerve-wrenching as the first two episodes have been.
