“The Body Finder” is part love story, part creepy mystery as Violet tries to track down a serial killer. Young adult fantasy author Kimberly Derting even gives us a few chapters from the killer’s point of view to provide insight to what goes on behind the mind of a manipulative murderer.

Ever since she was a little girl, Violet has been able to sense “echoes” from the dead that have been murdered.  This book is intriguing and suspenseful as Violet tries to uncover the killer without being targeted herself, and tries to make sense of her feelings for her best friend in the process.

Jay makes the sweetest love interest/best friend ever. He’s  supportive, protective, gentle, funny, selfless, and more than just a great friend to Violet. This book drew me in and was impossible to put down because I wanted to know who the killer was. Can’t wait for the fourth book “Dead Silence” coming in April!
